An educator by nature and profession, Elder Aquyla Walker has always had a profound love for education and the word of God. It is only right that her life's journey constantly includes the two. A servant first, she is proud of being a daughter, sister, niece, teacher, and friend.
Having accepted her call into the preaching ministry in April 2010, she became the first female minister at Greater Zion Church Family under the pastorate of Pastor Michael Fisher. She was ordained as an Elder in the Lord's church in July 2017. With a mantle to lead the millennial generation (back) to God, she has served as the Young Adult Overseer at Greater Zion, as a member of the Young Adult & Collegiate Division in Global United Fellowship, and is currently the Social Action Voice in the same division.
Built on the need to empower voice and provide space for the female minister, PreacH.E.R. was unofficially born in 2019, but bloomed in 2022. We purpose to be a network of support, collective service, and sustainability for women called to preach the gospel.
